Cranky Pants

Yesterday morning the girls were sitting at our center island eating breakfast when Samantha decides that she wants to mess with her sister a little.  Alexandra let out this little squeal to get my attention and when I looked up Samantha looked at her sister and said "Don't be grumpy, I need to pray for you."  She proceeded to do so immediately.  She bowed her head and folded her hands and said "Lord please take care of my little sister, and please help her not to be a cranky pants."  I was in shock I wanted to laugh so hard, but it was also about the cutest thing I have ever seen.  I just wanted to write it down before I forgot.  Have a good day and remember don't be a cranky pants!!!  Laf.

Silver Dollar City

Last weekend we took the girls to Silver Dollar City and had a great time.  If you have never been at Christmas time you really should go, it is very pretty.  We are thinking we will make this an annual event, because everyone liked it so much.  Did I mention that we camped?  Or as I like to say since we own a camper it's really "fancy camping."  I mean honestly if you have a heater and a bathroom it is like your own traveling hotel and in my opinion it's the only way to roll!  We spent one day hitting the outlet malls and another day at Silver Dollar City.  Here are a few pics from our fun weekend...

Ally all bundled up showing off her black
eye that her sister helped her get with a shove.
(I think it's a conspiracy so I don't get any Christmas pics).
Daddy, Ally, Duncan, and Samantha riding the froggies.
Mommy and Samantha riding the swings.
My girls never ever sleep in the car, but this is what
3 days of playing will do to you!

Thanksgiving Pre-School show

Today Samantha had her fall program at Pre-school.  It was just precious.  They sang a few songs and one prayer.  I was so proud of her, she has really thrived at pre-school.  A few posts ago I said that I had one of her Halloween songs stuck in my head well now it's one of her Thanksgiving songs.  Here are the words to all of the curious:

I'm a little Indian on the go
Here is my arrow, here is my bow
When I go out hunting, hear me shout
BEARS AND BUFFALO'S YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!

I think I have video of them singing that song.  It is hard to understand them, but cute none the less. There are 3 video clips at the bottom, Enjoy!

Poop Party

Yesterday my youngest daughter won the most disgusting baby award.  I guess I should start at the beginning.  We were having a lazy Sunday afternoon.  Justin had even made a fire and we were all relaxing.  I look over at Alexandra and she is playing with what looks like a very puffy ankle.  I didn't want to get up from the couch so I said "Justin look at her does it look like she has a swollen ankle" and he said "no it's just her clothes."   She had some footy pajamas on.  Oh didn't I mention it was afternoon and we were all still in our pajamas?  Ya, none of us went to church yesterday.  I told you it was lazy and I have a cold.  Anyway back to the story.  I think my husband must be right and look back at the TV and then look back at her and tell him "I don't think it is her clothes", but she seems to be walking around ok.  So I decide that I better check her out I unzip her pj's and she is wearing no diaper, not where she should anyway it looks like we had put the diaper on her ankle, and she is absolutely covered in poop, all the way down to her ankle diaper.  At this point I am cracking up and I think Justin is about to throw up.  He is watching my every move hoping that I am not going to ask for any help with this yucky baby.  So I zipped her back up into her pj's and told her to go play.  I thought he was going to fall off the couch.  Needless to say we had early bath's yesterday.  When my children read this blog in the future I want both my daughters to know that to date Alexandra sweetheart you have won the disgusting award, your lucky that Mommy was here to clean you up and bathe you because I think Daddy would have taken you in the backyard and used the power washer!!!  Laf!  :)

Halloween and Camping

Ok I don't really have a good excuse for not blogging in a while.  We have been busy around here, but isn't everyone.  So like I said no good excuse!  :)  The girls have really been enjoying the fall weather.  They love to be doing anything outside...  They had a great time dressing up for Halloween, and got to go trick or treating a few times.  Alexandra was intimidated by a few costumes but overall for a 19 month old she was a good trick or treater.   Samantha got to do a trick or treat "parade" at pre-school and all the parents got to come back to their class and hear fall songs that they had learned.  I spent a whole month listening to her sing at the top of her lungs the following:
I'm a little pumpkin short and stout,
here is my handle here is my spout
When it's Halloween and you are out,
lift my lid and hear me shout, BOO!

We went camping with some friends this weekend to Robber's cave.  We had a really great time.  The girls got to make smores, ride bikes, and we did a couple of hikes.  It is really fun to hike up to the cave and play in it.  It isn't an easy hike for kids but they really did a good job.   Samantha absolutely loves camping and you know that she has had fun when she starts crying about having to go home.  It's good to know she wouldn't have a problem living out of our camper!  :)

The Park and a Birthday Party

We have really been enjoying all of this fantastic weather.  We have made several trips to the park the past week and I got a couple of good shots.  The girls friend Lamita had her 3rd birthday party this past weekend at the Little gym and the girls had a great time...  Here are some cute pics!  Happy birthday Lulu!  (When I uploaded them they got a little out of order.)

Pedicure

About a week ago I took Samantha with me when I got a pedicure and they painted her fingers and toes.  She has been so proud of them.  When they asked my little 3 year old what color of polish she wanted she told them red.  I tried to convince her to get pink or something that would look a little more like a little girl but she wouldn't budge.  She told me "Momma I want red."  So red it was, they did a good job of making her nails look a little bit more girlie with the polka dots. Anyway attached are the pictures...

Awana Part 2

As my dear friend Erin pointed out I forgot to say what Samantha memorized.  The first was her key verse which was "God loved us.... and sent his son."  and the second was her motto which is "Jesus loves me."

Awana

Samantha started doing Awana at church last week, and last night was the first night she went to her little cubbies meeting and had to recite scripture.  We really prepared for it and I told her that she was going to have to say it for the teacher's.  Well she did it.  I was so proud of her.  They give them little rewards for saying their stuff and last night it was candy.  She was so proud.  I need to make sure one of these weeks I get a picture...

Labor Day Weekend Camping Trip

This weekend we went on a 4 day camping trip and had a really good time.  It was really relaxing for all of us to get out of town. We did all the normal camping things like fishing, swimming, and relaxing.  Samantha caught her first fish and Alexandra got to eat her first smores.  Here are some fun pics of the girls!  Hope everyone had a good Labor day!

      Sharing a lawn chair...
Petting her first fish.  She was so happy.
Pulling the wagon around the campground.
Taking a bath in the little camper tub.  Look
     how dirty the water is...

First day of School

Ok so it has been crazy busy around our house and I haven't had time to sit down to write this. Samantha had her first day of school and we all seem to have survived.  She was so excited to go and actually ran up to the building saying "this is pre-school, this is my pre-school" over and over again.  It made it easier for me since she was so excited.  Her sister and I missed her something terrible but we made it through the day.  Samantha didn't take a nap and she was covered in finger paint when I picked her up.  Oh and she maybe ate 3 bites of her lunch since she doesn't really get eating in an allotted amount of time.  So the first thing she said to me is "Moma I need a snack." When I asked her what she did at pre-school she said "Mom we did a lot of stuff."  So I dropped off a 3 year old and picked up a 13 year old who doesn't have time to talk to her Mom!  :) Here are some cute pics!

Running up to pre-school.
Covered in finger paint after school.

Old Barn

Here are some cute pics I took of the girls this weekend.  My parents have some neighbors who have this really cool old barn and we decided to take some pics of the girls with it.  They look pretty cool in black and white.

On another note my Samantha starts pre-school tomorrow.  If I can stop sobbing long enough to post pictures tomorrow of her first day I will.  How did she get old enough for pre-school already!!??

Wild!

A few weeks ago I took the girls to one of those inflatable jumping places to play with some friends and I forgot to take my camera.  They have a really tall slide and I am not kidding when I say the first hour we were there she went up and down it the whole time.  Well she absolutely flies down it because she is so light and she loves every second of it.  After a few times she started jumping at the top and she would land about 1/3 of the way down the slide.  She is just wild.  If it didn't have a thing at the bottom to stop her she would fly across the room.  Anyway I took them back this morning and got a couple pictures.  It was really hard to get one since she comes down so fast but you'll get the idea at what an adrenaline junky she is.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!

Well Samantha is officially 3.  We had her 3rd annual pool party at her grandparents house.  Samantha has been talking about her birthday for months, so she was so excited that the day had finally arrived.  She had such a great time.  We cooked hamburgers and hung out with family and friends, it was a great day.  Happy Birthday sweet girl!

My baby is turning 3!!!

I can hardly believe it but my sweet Samantha will be 3 in just a few days. I took her 3 year old pictures this morning and they turned out ok. She is such a fun, sweet, and smart little girl. She is a wonderful blessing to our family! I will post pics from her actual party in a few days... In the meantime here are a few shots from this mornings photo shoot. Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!
